The Deepest Lake in Southeast Asia, Matano Lake

Stretching at the eastern tip of South Sulawesi, Lake Matano with its blue and calm water surface is the deepest lake in Indonesia. The bottom surface is steep, towering down to a depth of 590 meters. Because of its depth, Lake Matano also ranks as the 12th deepest lake in the world according to Worldatlas.com's version.
