Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali said Indonesia would host the 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Central Java in July 2022, replacing the previous host Vietnam. Vietnam will host SEA Games only.

On This Day August 4th: First Indonesia's Olympics Gold Medal

Badminton had its debut as an official medal sport at the 1992 Summer Olympics which was held from July 28 to August 4.  The winner of the men's and women's singles competitions are received by Indonesia, which is also the first-ever gold medal for Indonesia.
