Commission X of the House of Representatives has approved Mahendra Siregar to become chief commissioner of the Financial Services Authority, or OJK, for 2022-2027 period.
Head of Commission X Kahar Muzakir said the agreement was reached upon deliberation between members.
“It has been agreed after discussion regarding potential chief commissioner of OJK for 2022-2027 [that it’s] Mahendra Siregar,” Muzakir said on Thursday, April 7.
The economist previously underwent fit and proper test along with other candidate Darwin Cyril Noerhadi.
Six other figures were also announced to have been appointed to the board of commissioner.
