Deputy for marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Nia Niscaya the government has taken into consideration the upsides and risks of opening Bali to tourists, and among some of the strict requirements that must be followed by international tourists are to take a “warm up vacation” package.
“We require international arrivals to get warm up vacation package and to follow [rules in accordance to] applicable circular letter,” Niscaya said on Thursday, February 3, as reported by Antara.
According to her, warm up vacation is different from quarantine with the difference lies in that international tourists are allowed to leave their hotel room and do various activities within the hotel area.
Currently, there are only five hotels that are prepared to provide warm up vacation package: Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua in Nusa Dua, Westin Resort in Nusa Dua, Griya Santrian in Sanur, Viceroy in Ubud, and Royal Tulip in Jimbaran.
“These five hotels offer different public facilities for regular guests and warm up vacation guests, including swimming pools, gyms, dining rooms, and other facilities,” Niscaya explained.
International tourists are required to show result of PCR test at least 48 hours before departure. Tourists who have only received their first dose of vaccine must take a 7-day warm up vacation, and those who are double-jabbed are bound for a 5-day package.

Niscaya said by re-allowing international arrivals to Bali, economic recovery in tourism and creative economy sectors is just around the corner.
