An Inmate Controlled Marijuana Trading from Bali Prison

Bali Police revealed a case of 5.4 kilograms (kg) marijuana and dozen packs of ecstasy trading case. A man named I Kadek Krisna Jaya was arrested. He told the police that a prisoner in Kerobokan Penitentiary, Bali, controlled this business.

"Dozen packs of marijuana were found from the perpetrators, with a total weight of 5,667.14 grams gross or 5,480.94 grams (5.4 kg) net," said the Bali Police Director of Drug Investigation, Mochamad Khozin, to Antara.

After the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he was controlled by a man known as Selo, a prisoner in Kerobokan Penitentiary, Bali. Selo ordered him to trade the drugs.

"Now, we still investigate the role of Selo," he said on Sunday, 15 November 2021.

Police found the evidence from the perpetrator in the form of five large packages. Each package consists of leaves, stems, and marijuana seeds with a total weight of 4,871 grams gross or 4,715 grams net.

In addition, the police also found 41 small packages, each containing leaves, stems, and cannabis seeds, weighing a total of 796.14 grams gross or 765.94 grams net. Furthermore, the police discovered 31 plastic clips containing crystal methamphetamine weighing 15.04 grams gross or 10.20 grams net.

The police arrested the perpetrator in his house, Banjar Selat Beringkit Dangin Pura Mengwitani, Badung, Bali, on Monday, 1 November 2021, at 5:45 PM.

They found Kadek Krisna possessed, stored, and controlled narcotics of marijuana, crystal meth, and ecstasy. All of the drugs were stored in an iron rack inside his house.

For further investigation, the police took the perpetrators and the evidence to the office.
